About Us

Laurie & Jolie

Jolie and Laurie met in Los Angeles as members of MetaTheatre Company. After years of working and studying together, they both joined Rogue Theatre Company as founding members for their inaugural production of Cheyenne. But, it was during the company’s second show, Airsick, that a real bond was formed.
As producers and co-stars, Jolie and Laurie recognized several traits in common.  The most potent of these was their similar work ethic and desire to act and produce on the other coast, in New York City.  Above all, they share the need to tell gripping stories riddled with raw honest truth. After moving to NYC individually, they reconnected and have stayed true to their vision by forming InProximity Theatre Company.

Their commitment to honest contemporary storytelling is the inspiration that will drive the company forward while simultaneously bringing together a tremendous team of talented actors, writers, directors, and designers. They are so thrilled to be embarking on this journey together and are ever grateful to those who will join them by contributing talent, time, energy, or support.
